La
Scierie, a renovated 15th century mill, lies on the banks of the river Arget in La Mouline,
10 mins from Foix the capital of the Ariege in the French
Pyrenees. Located in the Barguillere Valley, and
set in three acres of
tranquil river bordered gardens, La Scierie offers the perfect
venue for a relaxing self catering gite
holiday.
The accommodation consists of three gites
situated on the south side of the Mill House. Each
gite
has its own independent patio
and small garden with table, chairs
and BBQ. We
have wireless internet connectivity in the gites, garden and
games room, the gites also have Hifi, Tv and Dvd player.
Guests are also welcome to enjoy the communal gardens with its
many seating areas and plenty with shade to take a break from
the summer sun. There is a large games room
situated in the gardens with Pool table, Table tennis,
Darts and plenty of books and board games for all guests to use. The
quiet municipal swimming pool, open July and August, is 30 metres from the property and the local Boulangerie a beautiful 10 minute walk away. Activities Close By : Treking, Mountain biking, Fishing, Golf, Horse Riding, Kayaking, White Water Rafting, Canoeing, Rock Climbing, Paragliding and in winter Downhill Skiing (45 mins) and Cross Country Skiing 15 mins |

La Scierie is a converted water mill and many areas of open water on and close to the property. Parents of small children should consider this when booking. |
